Why We Care

We're a Colorado couple, Jim and Kathy Haselmaier. After retiring, Jim created a service in our town (Fort Collins, Colorado) called Train Alert, and Kathy, who graduated from Michigan Tech, helped design the user interfaces and manage the social media accounts.

So when our friend Cynthia Protas Hodges started posting on Facebook when the Portage Lake Lift Bridge went up and traffic was stopped, we wondered if we could leverage what we'd learned creating Train Alert to offer a Lift Bridge Alert service. The answer was yes.
